Family Summit
IESBVI is excited to offer two Family Summit events this spring!
- Saturday, March 28, 2026 – United Methodist Church, West Des Moines, IA
- Saturday, April 18, 2026 – Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids, IA
Both events take place from 1:00-3:30 p.m.
What Can you expect?
- Parents and Caregivers – Marking up our home: strategies for labeling and supporting independent access to home spaces and appliances.
- Children who are blind, visually impaired, or deafblind (all ages) – Building and encouraging independence through self-care skills.
- Siblings (ages 8-13) – Sibshop is a fun, supportive space where siblings of children who are blind, visually impaired, or deafblind connect and feel understood.
