Families need to be involved for their child to have a successful education. For parents to be successful advocates for their children, information and training must be available to them.
Family members can take a free course on deafblindness and intervention through the National Center on Deafblindness. Workshops and training can be requested for home, early access teams or school teams. In addition, the Project provides financial assistance for families to attend state and national conferences on issues related to the needs of children with deafblindness.
